July 7th

Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop Carlos Torres 20, Philadelphia, PA was arrested in the 300 block of South Boulevard by Patrolman Emmett Smith.  Torres was arrested based on an active warrant out of another jurisdiction.

Officer William Noble received a report of theft of a bicycle from the 2100 block of Third Avenue.  The victim report that the bicycle was taken July 3rd or 4th.

Subsequent to a motor vehicle accident at Third Avenue and Brighton Avenue, Benjamin Cebula 22, Millburn was arrested by Patrolman Mathew Phillips.  Cebula was charged with driving while intoxicated as well as other motor vehicle offenses.

July 6th

Patrolman Matthew Phillips received a report of burglary and theft from a residence in the 200 block of Worthington Avenue.

Thomas Clayton 55, Spring Lake was arrested by Patrolman Matthew Phillips.  Clayton was charged with criminal trespass in the 300 block of Passaic Avenue.

Kathleen Clayton 53, Spring Lake was arrested by Patrolman Matthew Phillips.  Clayton was charged with theft as well as theft by deception.

July 5th

Patrolman Emmett Smith received a report of harassment from a individual in the 1300 block of Third Avenue.

Officer Matthew Merklinger received a report of theft of a bicycle from the area of the North End Pavilion.  The victim reported that the theft occurred in the evening hours of July 4th.

July 4th

Justin Jacobs 18, Ewing was arrested by Officer Joseph Liddy in the area of Madison Avenue Beach.  Jacobs was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, believed to be under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.

July 2nd

Officer Kevin Istvanditsch received a report of theft from the Washington Avenue Beachfront.

Officer Tyler Vadas received a report of theft of a bicycle from the area of the Monroe Avenue Boardwalk.

Subsequent to a motor vehicle accident Elizabeth Mendez 23, Perrineville was arrested by Patrolman Michael Palmer in the area of Warren Avenue and the Railroad Tracks.  Mendez was charged with driving while intoxicated as well as other motor vehicle offenses.

June 29th

In the 2300 block of Ocean Avenue, Patrolman Matthew Phillips placed  a 15 year old male from Hamilton NJ in custody for possession of controlled dangerous substance, believed to be under 50 grams of marijuana.  The juvenile was released to a guardian pending action by the family court.

Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop Dimitri Loizos 22, Toms River was arrested by Patrolman Ryan Reiff.  Loizos was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, believed to be under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia as well as motor vehicle offenses.

Belmar 5 Mile Run

On July 8th Belmar will host its 41st Annual 5 Mile Run.  The Race will begin at 8:30am and will travel through Belmar, Lake Como & Spring Lake.
