Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop, Dennis Savini 68, Point Pleasant was arrested by Patrolman Jeffrey Algor.  Savini was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs as well as other motor vehicle offenses.

Ben Cutler 23, Spring Lake was arrested by Detective Sergeant Christopher Kucinksi at Spring Lake Police Headquarters.  Cutler was charged with three (3) counts of burglary, one (1) count of criminal trespass and one (1) count of theft.  Cutler was charged after investigation identified him as the actor in the incidents On Jersey Avenue and Fifth Avenue on July 23rd (see entry for further details).  Patrolman William Kelly and Officer William Noble assisted in the investigation.

Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop Sead Hodzic 30, Morganville was arrested by Officer William Noble on First Avenue near the intersection of Brown Avenue.  Hodzic was arrested based on active warrants out of another jurisdiction.

Subsequent to a borough ordinance violation, David Garrett 24, Morris Township was arrested by Officer Ian Davis on the Newark Avenue Beach.  Garrett was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, believed to be under 50 grams of marijuana as well as possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.  Officer Andrew Garrity and Officer William Flockhart assisted in the arrest.

Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop, Thomas Costello 64, East Brunswick was arrested in the 400 block of Passaic Avenue by Patrolman Emmett Smith.  Costello charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, believed to be cocaine, having an active warrant out of another jurisdiction as well as motor vehicle offenses.

William McKenna 27, Essex Fells was arrested by Ian Davis on First Avenue in the area of Brown Avenue.  McKenna was arrested based on active warrants out of another jurisdiction.  Officer William Flockhart assisted in the arrest.

Officer William Noble received a report of theft of a bicycle from the area of the North End Pavilion.

Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop Felix Soto 38, North Arlington was arrested by Officer Ian Davis.  Soto was arrested based on an active warrant out of another jurisdiction.

Officer Christopher McDermott received a report of theft from a victim in the area of the South End Pavilion.

Patrolman Jeffrey Algor responded to a residence in the 300 block of Pitney Avenue for a report of burglary, theft, criminal trespass & criminal mischief.  Detective Sergeant Christopher Kucinski is assisting in the investigation.

UPDATE: July 19th, subject identified and charged

Officer Joseph Liddy received a report of harassment from a individual at the North End Pavilion.

Patrolman Jeffrey Algor received a report of fraud from a resident in the 400 block of Ocean Road.

In the Brown Avenue Parking Lot, Officer Joseph Liddy received a report of burglary and theft from a motor vehicle.  Detective Sergeant Christopher is investigating.

Patrolman William Kelly received a report of burglary and theft from a residence in the 1200 block of Fifth Avenue.  Detective Sergeant Christopher Kucinski is investigating.
