September 29th

Sergeant Anthony Ploskonka and Patrolman Emmett Smith responded to the Newark Avenue Beach for a report of a swimmer in distress.  Upon arrival victim was located and assisted out of the water prior to patrols arrival.

September 26th

Patrolman Matthew Phillips and Patrolman James Heine responded to the Essex Avenue beach for a report of six swimmers in distress.  Upon arrival officers located two victims on the jetty with the other four victims out of the water.  The last two victims were assisted off the jetty and out of the water by patrols.  All of the individuals were evaluated by Spring Lake First Aid and refused medical treatment.

September 3rd

John Moore 38, Anahola, HI was arrested by Officer William Noble.  Moore was charged with simple assault, criminal mischief and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  Patrolman James Heine and Patrolman Jeffrey Algor assisted in the investigation and arrest.

September 1st

Officer Matthew McGrady received a report of theft of a bicycle from the area of the South End Pavilion.

Officer Ryan Cotta received a report of theft of a bicycle from the area of the South End Pavilion.

August 31st

Patrolman Emmett Smith received a report of harassment from a victim at Spring Lake Police Headquarters.

Subsequent to a one car motor vehicle accident Robert Tucceri 31, Spring Lake Heights was arrested by Patrolman Emmett Smith.  Tucceri was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a hypodermic syringe, resisting arrest and tampering with evidence.  Officers Andrew Garrity, Officer William Noble & Officer Joseph Liddy assisted in the investigation.

Subsequent to a one car motor vehicle accident Angelo Peters 31, Lakewood was arrested by Patrolman Ryan Reiff.  Peters was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a hypodermic syringe, hindering apprehension, as well as several motor vehicle citations.  Officers Andrew Garrity, Officer William Noble & Officer Joseph Liddy assisted in the investigation.

August 20th

Patrolman Matthew Phillips received a report of harassment in the area of the 300 block of Morris Avenue.

Officer Michael Tantum received a report of theft of a bicycle from the 300 block of Madison Avenue.

Patrolman Michael Palmer received a report of theft by deception from a victim in the 1700 block of Ocean Avenue.
