Jeffrey Wallace 43, Bradley Beach was charged with breach of peace in the 300 block of 4th Avenue by Patrolman Emmett Smith.

Patrolman James Heine received a report of attempted fraud from a resident in the 300 block of Pitney Avenue.

 

Memorial Day

The members of the Spring Lake Police Department would like to remember and honor those that sacrificed for this great country.

Spring Lake will have a Memorial Day Parade starting from H.W. Mountz school at 10:30 am and continue through Third Avenue to the Monument at Fifth Avenue & Passaic Avenue where there will be a ceremony at 11:00 am.  Please come out to honor veterans.

Portions of Third Avenue,  Passaic Avenue, & Fifth Avenue will be closed for the Parade and Ceremony.

Spring Lake 5 Kids Race

a4a4e5221754fb46ddf97c7a4e02b215On May 24th, the Friends of Spring Lake 5 will be hosting the Spring Lake 5’s Kids Race.  The event is held on Ocean Avenue near the area of the South End Pavilion.  The event is open to children up to 14 years of age.

Ocean Avenue will be closed to traffic and parking from Sussex Avenue south to Sea Girt boarder for the Kids Race.

Possessing an alcoholic beverage in public is illegal and will be strictly enforced with a summons being issued.
