Anthony Garofalo 46, Wall Township was arrested by Ptl. Timothy Moran for Theft and Forgery.

Spring Lake Heights Police were investigating a hit and run motor vehicle accident that occurred on State Highway 71.  Sgt. Patrick Gilroy and Ptl. Jeffrey Poland assisted the Spring Lake Heights Police Department in locating the vehicle in the 200 block of Madison Avenue.  Occupants were also located and turned over to Spring Lake Heights Police for further.

Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop, Warren Kraft 52, Middletown was arrested by Sgt. Patrick Gilroy, based on outstanding warrants out of other jurisdictions.

7/15/2014 8:40:00 PM EST – This is the Borough of Spring Lake with an important message for residents near Wreck Pond. To help mitigate flooding the DPW will be removing sand on the beach adjacent to the outflow pipe near Brown Avenue to allow water to flow out of the pond and into the ocean. Please take necessary measures to protect your property from flooding and move vehicles to higher ground if necessary.

Det. Christopher Kucinski received a report from a Real Estate Agent of fraudulent listing of a home for rent on craigslist.  The agent reported that the home was currently listed for sale and they had located the home on craigslist with the same pictures and a similar description.  Det. Kucinski was able to contact the owner of the home and confirm that the listing was fraudulent.  The listing was removed and craigslist was informed of the issue.

Ptl. James Heine received a report of a theft of a bicycle that occurred sometime earlier in the month.

Det. Christopher Kucinski received a report of theft from a business in the 500 block of Monmouth Avenue

Ptl. Emmett Smith responded to the 500 block of Monmouth Avenue for a theft report.

Ptl. Timothy Moran received a report of vandalism to a sign leading up to the boardwalk on Newark Avenue.

Sgt. Steven Blecki received a report of vandalism from a residence on the 400 block of Morris Avenue
