Sergeant Timothy Moran and Patrolman William Kelly responded to the 100 block of Lorraine Avenue for a reported dumpster fire.  Patrols, First Aid and Fire Companies responded and extinguished the fire.  Detective Sergeant Kucinski is assisting in the investigation.
April 17th
Sergeant Timothy Moran and Patrolman Sean Duggan responded to the Worthington Avenue jetty for a report of a swimmer in distress.  Patrols found the victim out of the water upon arrival and the victim refused any medical assistance.

Patrolman James Heine received a report of harassment from a resident in the 100 block of Salem Avenue.

Sergeant Anthony Ploskonka received a report of identity theft from a resident of the 300 block of South Boulevard.

Patrolman Emmett Smith received a report of harassment from a business owner in the 1400 block of Third Avenue.
Lake Como 5K
On April 23, 2016 @ 10:00 am, Jersey Shore Runners Club will hold it’s annual Lake Como 5K .  The event will start on 16th Avenue in Lake Como and travel through Spring Lake.

The race will travel through Spring Lake on Third Avenue, Monroe Avenue,  Pitney Avenue, South Boulevard, Ocean Avenue , Prospect Avenue & Howell Avenue.  Portions or all of these roads may be closed or traffic may be diverted during the event.

Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop, Joseph Dilello 19, Bradley Beach was arrested by Sergeant Anthony Ploskonka based on an active warrant out of another jurisdiction.
March 23rd
At Spring Lake Police Headquarters, Detective Sergeant Christopher Kucinski received a report of identity theft.
Patrolman Emmett Smith received a report of shoplifting from a business in the 1200 block of Third Avenue.
March 21st
Patrolman Sean Duggan received a report of burglary and theft from the 500 block of Fifth Avenue.  Detective Sergeant Christopher Kucinski is assisting in the investigation.
UPDATED: April 16th, subjects identified
Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop, Michael Mellillo 21, Belmar was arrested by Patrolman Emmett Smith.  Mellillo was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, believed to be under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia, as well as motor vehicle offenses.
