August 31st

Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on Ocean Avenue near the intersection of Howell Avenue, John Koppenaal 28, Belmar was arrested by Officer Joseph Liddy. Koppenaal was charged with driving while intoxicated as well as several other motor vehicle offenses.

August 30th

Patrolman William Noble received a report of identity theft from a resident in the 200 block of Ocean Avenue.

Patrolman Matthew Phillips received a report of harassment from a resident in the 500 block of Mercer Avenue.

August 29th

Michael Corrao, 22, Manalapan was arrested by Patrolman William Noble in the 100 block of East Lake Drive. Corrao was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, believed to be under 50 grams of marijuana as well as possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.

August 24th

Subsequent to an investigation Earl Sullivan III, 53, Wall Township was arrested by Officer Joseph Liddy. Sullivan was charged with one count endangering the welfare of a child as well as one count of lewdness. Patrolman Ryan Reiff and Patrolman Matthew Phillips assisted in the investigation.

August 21st

Patrolman William Noble responded to the 200 block of Vroom Avenue for a report of criminal mischief to a residence.

UPDATED 08/28/2019 – Actor identified and charged

Subsequent to an investigation Patrolman William Noble filed juvenile complaints against a 16 year old male for theft of a bicycle on July 24, 2019. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending action by the Family Court.

Officer Joseph Liddy received a report of theft from a vehicle while parked in the area of Ocean Avenue near Washington Avenue.

August 20th

Patrolman James Heine responded to the 100 block of Vroom Avenue for a report of theft.

UPDATED 08/20/2019 – Actors identified,

Patrolman William Kelly responded to the are of Marucci Park for a report of juveniles causing criminal mischief. Patrols located the two (2) juveniles actors. The juveniles were transported to Spring Lake Police Headquarters where they were released to their guardians.

Officer Jeffrey Lewandowski received a report of a stolen bicycle from the area of the Brighton Avenue boardwalk

Sergeant Patrick Gilroy received a report of criminal mischief to a residence in the 400 block of Shore Road. Sergeant Gilroy was able to identify six (6) juveniles who were present during the incident. Juveniles & their guardians were contacted and advised. Reports were forwarded to the Monmouth County Family Court for further action.
