Ptl. Michael Palmer received a report of an attempted phone scam from a business owner in the 300 block of Morris Avenue.  The victim reported that he received a call from an individual stating that he was a representative from  JCP&L.  The caller advised the victim that he needed to pay for an outstanding bill or his power would be shut off.  The caller attempted to get the victim to respond to a convenience store and purchase money packs (re-loadable debit cards) to pay for the outstanding bill.  The victim checked his statements and contacted JCP&L from phone numbers listed on his bills and found the calls to be a scam.
